How cool would it be to fly in on Friday and have your entire wedding from Church to Reception all planned out by family who adore you?  Mom Cecilia and Sister Lori planned son/brother Chris & Vanessa’s wedding on lucky 11.11.11.   Busy couple Chris & Vanessa reside in Colorado and were fortunate to have a dynamic mother/daughter team to plan their wedding at Holy Ghost Chuch & Four Hills Country Club.   Avista had never met the bride and groom before the rehearsal dinner.  We were thrilled to encounter such a fun wedding couple along with their wedding party.  I hope you will check out the video — especially the photo shoot driving around the Four Hills Country Club!   All couples should have the love of family to devote such an effort into making the couple’s wedding day both special & spectacular.  Avista Video was thrilled to record a permanent, vivid memory of Chris & Vanessa’s special day.  Great job Lori & Cecilia!

I met Moraima at several wedding events last year.  Moraima was a New Mexico Dream Wedding finalist.  As Avista is the “Dream Videographer” we met briefly.  However, it was at the Perfect Wedding Guide-NM Wedding Professionals “Insider Secrets” pre-planning seminar for brides that Moraima and I got acquainted.   Moraima told later she heard me speak about Video Memories and How Brides Will View Moments on their Video for the First Time……like the face of the flower girl walking down the aisle.  She found me at the PWG Bridal event later that afternoon and booked Avista Video Histories right away! 

Videographer John Ortiz and I enjoyed being part of Moraima & Daniel’s 11.12.11 wedding.  The couple, with their beautiful children hosted a fabulous wedding on 11.12.12 at the St. Bernadette Church with a reception at the Radisson Hotel.  You should see Moraima & Daniel tear up the dance floor during their first dance!  Just recently, on January 11th,  Moraima told the Bridal Panel hosted bythe Perfect Wedding Guide, that the best decision she made was to invest in a wedding video.  Moraima says she has watched the video weekly since 11.12.11 and treasures it!

Moraima will be assisting me at the New Mexico Wedding Professional’s Wicked Wedding Event, 6-8pm on January 20th at the Sheraton Uptown.  This wedding cocktail event will be fun and fabulous and permit brides to casually mingle and get acquainted with top NMWP wedding vendors.  Thank you Moraima for joining me to share your wedding experiences with brides walking the journey you just enjoyed!

As one of Avista Video Histories’ Wedding Videographers and also Avista’s Creative Director, I, Steve Delasantos, was privileged to be on hand to document a truly special moment as Jennifer and Michael Gruger began their lives together.  Immediately following a beautiful and intimate ceremony attended by family and friends on June 27, 2009 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Albuquerque, Jennifer informed me that she had a surprise for Michael out in the parking lot — and was going to present this “surprise” — a vintage automobile — to her new husband Michael momentarily. I took my cue and strategically placed my camera.

 It was an awesome moment.  Not yet realizing that the set of keys he was handed as he walked outside, belonged to a sought after vintage automobile, Michael was completely taken by surprise when he made his way through the gathering of friends and family and first laid his eyes on a Classic 1961, Series G2 Cadillac 2 Door Hard Top Automobile.  For quite some time, Michael had long had his eye on this car, which he hoped to one day purchase and completely restore. The look on Michael’s face was as classic as the car itself. Not knowing how to express what he was feeling, Michael and Jennifer fell into a hug that seemed to last forever. After a few photos, Michael placed Jennifer in the front seat, walked around to the other side, turned the engine over and blissfully drove off into the sunset. 

Capturing on Video such special moments is what makes being a Wedding Videographer so special.  I was thrilled to capture this moment for Jennifer and Michael. 

And what a way to start a marriage!
